So what will we be learning today? Glad you asked! Most of you are probably are here simply because you are looking for ways to burn fat and gain muscle, and I’m sure you have already started the process or have read some information pertaining to this entire process. We’re definitely going to be getting into some detailed pieces of information that will kick you into fat burning mode, but first I want to discuss two topics that I rarely see in ANY workout today.

So let’s get right into it, here are the guidelines, tips and advice to get you started on the right track. By all means DO NOT underestimate these. Remember, all great accomplishments starts from a solid foundation and is built from the ground up. Learn it, harness it, accept it, and apply it.

::::MOTIVATION/INCENTIVE::::

I know you’re probably thinking, how is this going to help me?! Let me break it down for you: Before beginning your venture into the world of fitness ask yourself “what is my main reasoning for wanting to get those 6 pack abs, a trimmed waistline, some weight loss, or gained muscle?” Stupid question…? I think not! Behind it all there is a deep inner reason and it doesn’t matter what that reason maybe just as long as you know what it is.

So now that you have that established, we can now tie the knot in correlation to motivation, which is your added incentive to work extra hard at attaining your fat burning muscle gaining goals.

Here’s an example of what I mean and how I find this to be so important. In the NFL or even Hollywood actors and actresses are in phenomenal shape. How do they get that way? For athletes it can be there genetics but for MOST it’s simply through hard work and dedication because they are getting paid to stay in shape. Same goes for your favorite actors and actresses, when they receive a role to play they must be in excellent shape to appeal to the crowd and sell the role and movie.

This is what pushes them over the edge; it’s what keeps them motivated to stay in shape. How else would they get by in the world?

Now you may not be getting paid millions of bucks, BUT the simpler incentives can cause the same effects. For example, your single and you want to get into shape to attract men/women. You’re looking to add a little spice to your love life with your spouse, or maybe it’s simply for your own health. Whatever the added bonus is, use it to its fullest!

::::FITNESS GOALS/PLANNING::::

I’m going to keep this one simple. As the saying goes, “failing to plan is planning to fail” Don’t walk into your fat burning, weight losing, muscle gaining venture without a solid plan and weekly/monthly goals! Create a booklet or journal with your meals and workout routine to help you keep track of your daily progress. Keep it simple, and make 30 copies for every month or use your computer. I will be posting a few here on this site for download or printing.

Also, prepare to get yourself into the correct mind frame of a workout plan and diet. By this I mean, scheduling, preparing and becoming rhythmic in your daily routines. Trust me, I know… Changing and adapting to a new lifestyle is one of the toughest things to accomplish when beginning.

I personally find that I have the most difficult time dealing with the first 2 to 2 ½ weeks which can drive me crazy. But psychologically you start to condition your brain and body to adapt. Adjustment periods are all different for each one of us, so don’t push yourself to feel comfortable, let it come to you. And it will happen without you even knowing, because you’ll be in the routine which has become your new lifestyle.

I know, we haven’t discussed any ways to burn fat and gain muscle and that is because these two topics are extremely under rated and undervalued. But if you’ve made it this far, good for you! I’m proud and be proud of yourself because NOW we’re going to begin the part you’ve been waiting for… How to burn fat and gain muscle!
